Cynthia LaPolla, Real Estate Agent on the Central Coast of California

Cynthia believes she was born to be in the Real Estate Business. "My first job out of high school was a receptionist for a busy real estate office. Ultimately I married the son of the owners and they encouraged me to get my real estate license in 1978". The next 10 years of Cynthia's real estate career were spent learning real estate finance, from loan servicing to loan origination, working her way up from clerical to management position for a major loan serving company and a lending mortgage banker. From that background it was a natural step to use her extensive skills to open her own mortgage brokerage and real estate sales office in Northern California, which she operated for several years with husband Christopher. "But the Central Coast continued to call my husband and me. We had vacation in Pismo Beach for years and finally decided the time had come to permanently call the Fabulous San Luis Obispo area home". In 1995 they made that dream come true, opening a branch of the loan brokerage in Grover Beach, which they successfully operated until 2005, when Christopher retired. Cynthia then relocated her business to a home office in order to become a full time caregiver for her mother. "I had always planned to return to real estate sales, and there could not be a better time to use my lending expertise to assist buyers and sellers in navigating the muddy waters of a short sale, REO's and the difficult process of qualifying for a new mortgage in the current lending climate". In addition to federal and state licensing as a Mortgage Loan Originator, Cynthia has just earned her designation as a Certified Distress Property Expert (CDPE). Cynthia Enjoys beach walking with dog Mickey, RV travel and camping with husband Chris and their brood of 10 grandchildren, entertaining friends and family, and spending time as a master volunteer at Woods Humane Society.
